Laundry Service

We thought Gabriel needed to start earning his keep around here, so he's now in charge of laundry.

Dancin Man

So, I had the TV on one day and the Lawerence Welk show came on. Sissy and Bobby were doing a dance , and at first Gabriel just stood there and watched them for 45 seconds. Then, after the inspiration hit him, he began to dance...and this is what we get...

Here he is yet again watching Lawerence Welk, and dancing along to the music...soooo funny!

Gabriel Mowing

Grandma and Grandpa Rose came to visit. They brought a little mower for Gabriel, and boy does he like it. This is him playing with it for the first time.

Easter Sunday!

Well, here are a few pictures from Easter. It's hard to get a good one with Gabriel because he's so busy! I was home with food poisening for Gabriel's 1st Easter, so I was excited to get some pictures this time! Here's our best effort to capture his 2nd Easter!

Here's Gabriel helping soundcheck the drums.

Tickle Time

Some of Gabriel's first steps

Gabriel has been walking for a few weeks now, but I couldn't get this video up a month ago, but it's when he first started walking, and it's so precious!!

Crazy Little Man

Gabriel was home with Daddy the other night, cruzin around and making sound affects with his mouth...he's so silly sometimes!

Veggie Tales?

Gabriel was sick last Sunday. So we thought maybe he would actually sit and watch a cartoon or something. So I popped in some Veggie Tales, and here he is groovin to the theme song. It was so funny! However, that is about all he watched then he had to be busy again. He's not a TV man, just like his Daddy! There's too much to be done!

What Gabriel's up to!

Since Gabriel turned 1, it seems like he's doing more everyday, and we are getting to see more and more of his little personality. He really enjoys playing with his farm set from Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Demland! I think he's starting to recognize sounds. If you bark like a dog, he will rush over to get his Puppy-Dog! He also makes a motor sound when pushing his toy truck, so funny! Any chance he can get into to the office, he'll go in, get Dan's drum sticks and start playing the drums. He's getting more brave when it comes to walking, he can walk quite a ways if he wants, but it's still not as fast as crawling. He sure is a lot of fun...and a hand full at times! But we couldn't have hand picked a better little man if we had a the world to choose from!

Jabberin Baby

Although Gabriel is yet to say a REAL word. We still enjoy listening to him talk in Jibberish...or German, whatever it is. Here he is narrating a book for us. Enjoy!

Drummin & Singin

It's so much fun to watch Gabriel "play" the drums. Here's a sneak peak, unfortunately he is easily distracted by the camera!

Visit to Texas!

Dan, Gabriel, and I went to Texas a few weeks ago to visit Dan's parents, and brother David. It was wonderful, wonderful time! I had never been to Texas. We were in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. It was absolutely beautiful, and just a great time to get away and be with family.

We were asking people to pray the Gabriel would not scream or cry on the plane. Ha! After what we went through, I wish he HAD screamed the whole way there. Our first flight to Atlanta was fine, he didn't sleep, but he was OK. We then had a very short layover, just enough time to change a very poopy diaper. We had not been on the plane 5 minutes when Dan said "I think he went again." We hadn't taken off yet, so I went back to the lavatory, only to discover it was all over him, his clothes! A MESS! So I cleaned him up (as best I could) and the flight attendant was knocking on the door telling me we needed to take off. So, I sat down, started to give Gabriel a bottle, he was a little fussy after that, then about 10 min. later he sat up from his half sleep, and projectile vomited all over me, and down my shirt. It's amazing to me that when you're a mother, you just don't care about yourself as long as your baby's OK. I then cleaned us off as best I could, then noticed he had gone poopy...again, all through his clothes, everywhere. So, I proceeded to clean him up, change his clothes, and as we came out of the lavatory he vomited again, all over me, so we just had to stand in the back on the rubber floor and let him throw up, as they came over the intercom to tell us it would be another half hour as we flew around a storm. WHAT?!? Poor little guy! He went through another 3 diapers in this time (and had the worst diaper rash and just screamed when I changed him), so I had to ask the flight attendant to track 1 down for us. Praise God he did! And it fit. By this time, I'm now wearing an extra T-shirt of Dan's. Gabriel's in his last onsie, and my running shorts. (He looked like a little homie with saggy pants). It was absolutely horrible not knowing what to do, and not being able to do anything. But I am so grateful for a couple of things in this situation:#1. The plane was rather empty towards the back, and people were sleeping...so hopefully it didn't disrupt too many people! #2. Someone on board not only had an extra diaper, but it fit! #3. We were going somewhere where we could do laundry! Not a hotel! The flight home, not so interesting, and we were happy to keep it that way.

The rest of our trip there was great. Luckily he was over the flu that next day! God was good, and met all of our needs...and now I know to pack extra clothes for all of us, and more then 6 diapers. You just never know!

Here are a few Pictures!

Our happy little family!

OK, so this is Gabriel's 1st real experience with grass, and he hated the feel of it. He put his hands down so he could crawl away, and then pulled them up and scream and stare at us like we set him on a cactus or something. So funny.
